AR and Scanimation
One day our faculty divided the class into two parts and gave us different topics and we were told to get a an example of the method for anywhere and show the other side if the other side guess the right word they win.We were given the topic of scanimation which was hard to find but we still did make it and we guess the concept of AR very easily. After this fun activity we were told by our faculty that we have to use it in our next project. We had to decide a problem that we could see around us which needed a light upon.
After making many web chart I came to a point were everything bad can be ended as soon as we can show people a bit of empathy and then i came to a conclusion of going with the topic of 'Heteronormative'. The meaning of Heteronormativity is, relating to, or based on the attitude that heterosexuality is the only normal and natural expression of sexuality
“Modern depictions of sex and romance are told from straight perspectives, which can cause queer people to internalize implicit messages that the only romantic and sexual experiences worth having must include a sharp masculine and feminine contrast.”
The representation in our daily media plays a very big role in defeating the socially expected norms and stereotypes and on top of that the bigger issue we are facing is lack of representation in the kid centred movies and cartoon

The stereotypes running down from generations through generations in our society is to looking at things in a polar black or a polar white, we could never see things in a spectrum i.e., men have to be strong, good at labour, a bread earner, etc and women should be good at household chores, cooking, etc. we think that masculinity and femineity are for their specific genders. Which is very wrong.
Building Blocks of a heteronormative Society
· Gender-Binary – There are only two genders – men & women. If any other gender identity exists it will threaten the sexual hierarchy constructed by the society.
· Gender-Roles – Only two roles – masculine & feminine. It also suggests strict adherence to the expected gender roles i.e., Man would be the bread earner, a man would only propose the girl, woman would make food and take care of the children. Because of this assigned gender roles by society the man is falling more and more into ‘toxic masculinity’ by other men.
· Sex negativity – Sex is not for procreation, not between a heterosexual man & woman and is outside of marriage, is viewed as negative.
· Heterosexual people being said to be ‘straight’, indicating that there is something crooked or wrong with the LGBTQ+.
· Heterosexual show more sympathy towards the LGBTQ+ community for no reason and treat them like they are something unique or different and not a fellow human being.
After doing the research we just had to work on the presentation of the AR and the scanimation part which was looking very much impossible, but I am proud of my self and my peers that we still worked out everything and the model for my AR is
the concept of scanimation was to project a simple match the following but as the line go ahead they all form a confused ball of line that got no where to go, as it just can't match stereotypes
